Beauty Vs The Beast This Saturday Night

If you don't have some amazing plans for this weekend like oh I don't know, waxing your chest hairs...then you should be watching this fight! I know waxing is very important but this fight is going to be HUGE. Besides, don't dudes like watching women roll around on the ground together??? This should be a no-brainer for you guys.

Gina Carano vs Cris Cyborg, also known as woman vs man, beauty vs the beast and good vs evil. I swear Cyborg should be tested, she really looks mannish to me. I am scared for Gina. I will be watching this while on Valium I am sure because my nerves will be shot. I am afraid that Cyborg will make Gina look a little like her best buddy Kim Couture after her insane fight with Kim Rose. This is what a broken jaw and a true beating looks like my friends...

Can you say ouch???? I feel like this fight will be a similar blood bath. I hope in Carano's favor but I am just not sure.

So guys order up the pay per view or Showtime and watch this fight Saturday night! You will not be disappointed!

Where Will Carano Go??

Have I mentioned I am in a depression??? Elite XC is gone. Done. No more fights. Broke. Normally it would not bother me so much but this means there is not a place for my super duper girl crush Gina Carano to fight. What will I do????

Upon hearing the news yesterday, I started taking up a collection at work...thinking maybe if we got enough money up she might come fight on our parking lot. Of course I knew we would not be able to afford another fighter so I volunteered to get in the octagon and run from her for awhile. We managed to collect $47.83. I highly doubt she will come to the middle of nowhere Missouri for that fee. Especially since she still has her American Gladiator money coming in. Drats! What now???

Someone get my Oreos and chocolate ice cream! Looks like it will be a long depression since I am not sure if I will ever get to see her fight again.

Gina Carano Bad Ass on CBS Tonight!

Gina Carano will fight Kelly Kobold tonight in a bout on CBS. Oh and Kimbo Slice will fight Ken Shamrock, but I am not really interested in that.

Nope, I am all about Gina Carano. My friends tell me I have what is called a "girl crush" on her. I would almost call it borderline obsession/stalkerism. I love to watch this woman fight. She just totally dominates and for some reason that thrills me. I even fantasize sometimes of being in the ring with her and being able to take a punch from her and still stand. I know. I am weird. But I can't help it. I guess she is kind of my idol. She does something that I would love to do but I know I cannot. How do I know I can't take a punch??? I got hit in the nose with a basketball during a pickup game once and wanted to immediately check into the hospital for a week. I have a very low tolerance for pain. I feel all tough on the inside but I know if I got in the ring with her I would probably just run around a lot and cry.

So I need your help tonight. I have heard many rumors about Elite XC not having very good numbers and might be headed to becoming non-existent. The reason I am so freaked out about this is because Elite is the only "big league" MMA circuit that allows women to fight. UFC will not. If this goes away, I will never see Gina fight again. I am asking that even if you don't like this fighting stuff, just tune in for a little while. You are going to see a great fight. Kelly Kobold is very experienced and has a nice 17-2 career record. I don't think she can handle Gina's stand up but I could be wrong. This could be one heck of a fight. Both ladies weighed in one pound over their 140 limit, Carano even had to completely strip to make that. It will be a great fight, you won't be disappointed. Did I mention she is kind of hot guys??? So there is an added bonus for tuning in. Be there or be choked out!

Gina Carano: Knockout Queen

Meet Gina Carano. Oh, she may look beautiful and sweet, but she will knock you on your ass. After she knocks you on your ass, she will mount you and show you what the term "ground and pound" really means.

Gina is the most successful female MMA fighter to date. She is 6-0, 3 wins by knockout and 1 by submission. As successful as she is in the MMA circuit, most know her as playing American Gladiator "Crush". She is equally as successful on Gladiator, being undefeated in several events against the contenders. A couple of weeks ago, I watched her tackle a 52 year old woman trying to run the "Pyramid", she hit her so hard, I am shocked the woman could even make it to the next event.

After watching all of Gina's fights, I thought maybe this is something I could get into. For some reason, beating people up seemed appealing. I ran out to the local sports store and grabbed up some training gloves and sparring mitts. After trying to convince several friends to let me try to hit them, I finally found one who said yes (thank you Joyce). Um, well, I lasted about 2 minutes of circling and throwing punches. Seems it is much more difficult than it looks. Several times I hit the mitts and thought I had broken my hand. I am thinking now, maybe I should have read some sort of instruction manual before attempting this. But hey, no guts no glory right?

Right. Today I can hardly walk. I am thinking maybe I should have stretched or something, my back hurts terribly. My right hand is bruised and I cannot lift my arms, at all. Seriously. Work was a challenge today and I just sit at a desk most of the day. But I am not giving up! Well today I am. But tomorrow I just might give it another go. Maybe. If I take a few pain killers before I start.

Gina, I have sooooo much more respect for you now. You are my hero!
