UFC Undisputed 2009 Coming Soon

Ok, I am pumped about this video game. I love UFC fighting and even more than that I will love choking someone out. The game will be released on June 2nd and I am counting down the days. I might even go pre-order it like a real nerd. I have even already decided who my first fight will be against. I will be my boy Forrest Griffin and I want a re-match against that punk Rashad Evans. He is gonna get an ass whoopin. When I am finished with him, he will know the true meaning of "ground and pound." I will challenge anyone to match up against me online (yes, even you Tbone) cause I am bringin' it!

Ah, ok, I need to go take a nice long bubble bath now and do my nails.

From C-Rod to A-Roid

Dear Alex,
Remember this photo??? Yea, I am hot. And you? You are a lying sack of shit and the American public just got a dose of it. I am so glad they finally got to see your true colors. Now maybe everyone will believe that you really were putting your dipstick in Madonna's oily hot pocket. I hope you caught something other than Kabbalah fever.

I cannot begin to tell you how thrilled I am that I got out before the shit hit the fan. I don't have to listen to your sniveling, "Oh poor me, I am only the highest paid baseball player in the league, people put too much pressure on me..." You need to grow a pair. What kind of role model are you for our daughter???

I have moved on. I am so over you. That's right, I know it hurts. But you did this to yourself. If you had not run off with the "Material Girl"we would still be together. But sadly, now I must go mount Derek Jeter.

Your ex-wife,
Cynthia (formerly Rodriguez, soon to be Jeter)

Roethlisberger Played With Broken Ribs

Just when I think I am getting over him, he goes and does something totally awesome like win a Super Bowl with broken ribs.

It was reported today by Peter King that Ben played the Super Bowl with 2 broken ribs. "Luckily, in the game, I didn't take any big hits to make 'em hurt," Roethlisberger told SI.com. "But I knew all along there was something wrong. There wouldn't have been anything that could have been done about fractured ribs anyway. It was just suck it up and play."

Why can't I find a man like this???? It seems every man I have been involved with has had some retarded injury that kept them out of work for days. I had a boyfriend once that missed 2 days of work because he was constipated. Hello??? Take a Correctol, blow it out and move on!

Ben, I love you. For real.

ESPN News is going nuts this morning with reports from Sports Illustrated that A-Rod tested positive in 2003 for anabolic steroid use.

Is there anyone out there that has great stats that doesn't cheat???? What is going on with the world??

Nascar=Naptime

Here is a blast from the past. I wrote this in 2006 about Nascar. Amazing but I feel the same way about it today as I did then. With the Nascar season about to begin, I thought I would re-post it in case you missed it.

198 Days and Counting...

I live for NFL football. I realize to say I live for something like football is quite disturbing but it is the truth. Not counting today, there are 198 days until the Thursday night NFL Kickoff Special. On that day, I will come out of hibernation and begin to live again. Until that day, I am just not sure what to do with myself. Weekend before last I had the Pro Bowl to watch. Do I really enjoy the Pro Bowl?? No. Generally, they are pretty boring games but it represents the last heartbeat in my body before I completely flatline. I realized the day of the Pro Bowl that I have entirely too much free time on my hands now that I don't have football games to watch on Sundays. I began to panic, what will I do with myself?? Exercise? No way Jose! Clean the house?? Absolutely NOT! Scrapbook??? HELL NO!I needed a football substitute, a fix for my addiction. I tried to watch an arena football game. I would say arena football is like a frozen pizza compared to the real deep dish delivered pizza also known as the NFL. Frozen pizza will do in a pinch, but I would rather have the real deal than to eat a frozen pizza.

So this past Sunday I noticed there was a Nascar race on TV. Daytona 500...Superbowl of Nascar they called it. Ahhhhhhhhh here we have it...my football substitute! I have been saved by Tony Stewart and friends! So I climbed into the recliner and got ready for the race, turned on the surround sound and got ready to witness my first Nascar race on my 65 inch big screen. Bon Jovi before the race...ok, this is not bad at all...just like they have artists perform before the Superbowl...I think I will like this! James Caan got them all to start their engines and off they went! In circles... for hours. I think I must have fallen asleep around lap 20. When I woke up they were on lap 100. My God, how long does this sport take to finish? Had I missed anything exciting? After watching for about 10 minutes I find that in fact I had missed nothing but more circles. Again I passed out. I woke up this time with 25 laps to go. Ok, I have to stay awake for the ending of this...I run to the kitchen and make a pot of coffee and dissolve a No Doze in it. Maybe...just maybe I can make it now. Hop back into the recliner and my jittery hand reaches for the surround sound remote control, if I can crank up the sound of the roaring engines maybe that will also prevent me from falling asleep. Not sure really what kept me awake for the end because it was the most uneventful victory I have ever witnessed. Jimmie Johnson won the race. Then he stood on his car and a mega-ton of confetti fell from the air and completely covered the car and Jimmie. Then other drivers accused Jimmie of cheating (the most exciting part of the entire event). That was it. It was over.

I don't get it. At all. Why is this sport so popular? When I wasn't sleeping, I was praying for wrecks or for a fan to run out in the middle of the track.God, help me make it 198 days. Between Nascar and the Olympics I will be well-rested for the beginning of the NFL season.

My Sports Bucket List

I was thinking about this today at work (because I rarely actually do any work at work) and thought this might be an interesting topic. Do you have a sports bucket list or a bucket list at all??? So I jotted down a few things...my top 10 anyways. Please feel free to share your list with me too!

1. See the Steelers play at Heinz Field. I have seen them play in KC and Denver but never in Pittsburgh.

2. Catch a pass from Terry Bradshaw. Highly unlikely I know...but if dreams come true...this would be one of them. He was my idol growing up.

3. Watch a Cubs game at Wrigley.

4. Attend a Super Bowl. I don't even care who is playing in it, I would just like to be amongst the craziness.

5. Sit ringside for a UFC fight. I wouldn't even mind a little blood or spit coming my way...

6. Walk on the sidelines before an NFL game. Preferably a Steelers game so I can make goo-goo eyes at Ben but I would take any team really.

7. See a NHL game. I have seen plenty of minor league hockey games but never a pro game.

8. See a game at Lambeau. The place has such tradition...I just think it would be a blast.

9. Throw out a first pitch at a baseball game. A little league game would be fine. I'm not picky. But the kid had better be prepared...I am bringing the heat!

10. See a Vols football game in Knoxville and also a Lady Vols game in Knoxville.

Ok, I know I only said 10 but I have one more...I would like to do one of those stadium tours...hit them all you know. Every NFL stadium, every baseball stadium. That would be so awesome!

The Queen of Basketball Hits a Milestone

Pat Summitt got her 1000th win tonight against the Georgia Bulldogs. She is the first coach in NCAA history to accomplish this feat. She received a plaque from the SEC, a painting and bracelet from the school and the adoration of a packed house of Lady Vols fans. In Pat fashion, she gave credit to those around her and to all the student athletes that have passed through the program.

Now let's get back to work and get us another title Pat!
