Vegas Oddsmakers Are On Crack

It seems the Vegas bookmakers have declared the Patriots as the favorite to win next year's Superbowl. I am not sure what I am missing here but the Patriots have many strikes against them. I think the first and most important is will Tom Brady be the same quarterback after his knee surgery? Carson Palmer hasn't returned to greatness yet. Sure they have Cassel but he didn't get them in the playoffs this year, why would next year be any different???

Second big factor is they are missing their offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. That has to hurt a little.

Next they have lost their general manager Scott Pioli. Who knows how much he had to do with the drafting of players? Maybe Belichick screws the draft up this year.

Lastly, their defense is OLD. Sure they added a stud in Jerrod Mayo (Another great Tennessee Vols product) but they lost Asante Samuel and still have old fart Teddy Bruschi running around.

So I am really not sure how they came up with this. I guess we will see how it plays out. Check out where your team stands. Source:USA Today

Wow the Lions are 150-1!!! They actually got better odds than I thought they would haha.

But I agree with you that doesn't make much sense about the Patriots. Their offense AND defense aren't going to be the same. Brady's injury was too major for him to come back as the same QB everyone remembers him as.

Hey Barbie!
Thanks for the comment!
I was trying to think if I ever remember worse odds for a team to win and I think that is it. Thanks Matt Millen! LOL
