One Week Without TV Update

Well it has been determined that we must delete all the programming that we miss all week from our Tivo's or that would be considered cheating. This is going to be so hard.

Cindy is having a difficult time already.
I informed her this morning that her Tivo'd programs must be deleted and I am pretty certain she just might stab me before this is all over. She would like to relay this message to Grumpy regarding the Tivo rule..."if he keeps having you change the rules his name will go on my poop list that remains on my fridge at all times... once your name goes on it never comes off, however your name can be on there multiple times." Uh oh Grumpy!

So let's get the rules straight and get ready for Friday.
1. You cannot watch a Tivo'd program that was recorded during the duration of the contest.
2. Playing video games and watching dvds are not allowed. TV is not to be turned on at all.
3. No watching tv programs online.

Think that covers it. Also for following me on Facebook as we make comments about our struggles you will have to search for me by an email address onedrum@hotmail.com. You should find me on Facebook that way. Please pray for us...Friday is coming up on us quickly...

I'm sure Cindy is a nice person, and I don't want to be on her poop list, but surely she can understand that tivo would be cheating. "I'm not going to watch tv, but I'll watch all the shows I would have watched on tivo." So you really did watch tv; you just delayed it. I think the current rules have it all covered. Good luck.

Do more blogging, cruise Facebook, walk around the block. You can do it and you'll be proud of yourself when you finish.

I don't understand the need for all this personal deprivation??
If you were then going to change your life and not watch so much TV afterwards...great, but I have a strong suspicion that this will result in no actual change other than one week of no TV. So what is the point?? Why suffer? Girls come on why put yourself thru the hell?? Really?

But maybe it WILL lead to less TV. Maybe I will realize just how much of my life I waste watching TV or maybe I will see just how important watching "My Life On the D List" is. Just a test...hopefully one that will change my life.
